Zephyr Wind Orchestra

Zephyr Wind Orchestra (ZWO) is a performance-based course during which students perform four concerts annually in the Chautauqua Fine Arts Center, participate in the Memorial Day Parade, and in the MHS Commencement Ceremonies. ZWO members also annually compete at MSHSL Large Group Contest, are eligible to participate in Metro East Conference Festivals, and MSHSL Solo and Ensemble Contest. Members of ZWO are also eligible to participate in Zephyr Jazz Ensemble, Zephyr Jazz Orchestra, Zephyr Percussion Ensemble, Pep Band, College / State/ Regional Honor Bands, and participate in band trips. Members of ZWO gain skills through individual and small group lessons taught by the instructor, are encouraged to practice at least one hour per week, take private lessons and attend performances throughout the metro area.
